- Its name was derived from a Denmark king named Harold Bluetooth who lived centuries ago.
- Bluetooth technology primarily supports simple wireless network devices and equipment including mobile phones,headsets, headsets, tablets and other gadgets. It can transmit radio signals over a distance of up to 9.1 meters at a speed of about 1 Mbps.
- Bluetooth operates at 2.4GHz but it is not a suitable replacement or substitute for Wi-fi as it has a lower speed, shorter operating range and can only work with a small number of devices. Bluetooth is often associated with mobile phones because of the popular use of wireless headsets these days.
