4 Facts About Bluetooth That Will Impress Your Friends

Everyone has probably heard of bluetooth, used  and talked about it. Bluetooth has become very common and will  probably be around for years to come. What is bluetooth, anyway?
  1. Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that uses low power radio signals utilized by computers, cellular phones and network devices.
  2. Its name was derived from a Denmark king named Harold Bluetooth who lived centuries ago.
  3. Bluetooth technology primarily supports simple wireless network devices and equipment including mobile phones, headsets, headsets, tablets  and other gadgets. It can transmit radio signals over a distance of up to 9.1 meters at a speed of about 1 Mbps.
  4. Bluetooth operates at 2.4GHz but it is not a suitable replacement or substitute for Wi-fi as it has a lower speed, shorter operating range and can only work with a small number of devices. Bluetooth is often associated with mobile phones because of the popular use of wireless headsets these days.
What is bluetooth? I know you can  answer the question the next time someone asks you.

What Experts are Saying about Bluetooth

In this day and age, all types of communication technology must deal with the subject of privacy and identity theft. Wireless technology like Bluetooth, being a means of sharing and communication, is not exempted. Virtually everybody  is aware that email and network services need safety and security so Bluetooth users should also know that Bluetooth requires these.

Bluetooth users, however, should also understand that security issues are exaggerated most of the time.  The truth of the matter is, these issues are very simple  to manage as there are already diverse measures  in place to secure Bluetooth devices.

It is also common knowledge that some Bluetooth cellphones have been hacked into. Bluetooth gadgets that are hacked into are usually those that do not have any kind of security at all.

Experts say that in order to hack these Bluetooth devices, an intruder  must be able to do the following:

    1.  Cause the  paired devices to disconnect from each other
    2.  Catch or intercept the packets that contain the pin.
    3.  Crack the pin

The attacker should also be close enought to the device and should be using a developer type apparatus. It is highly recommended that you use a stronger and longer pin. Most experts would say that an eight-digit pin is safe enough.

The process of pairing two Bluetooth devices is one of the most fundamental levels of security. It allows Bluetooth devices to recognize each other with the use of a pin.

Bluetooth uses an entirely safe encryption algorithm which makes paired devices secure also. Bluetooth devices will not "talk" to each other or communicate unless a successful pairing has taken place. The short range of Bluetooth devices and this pairing process make the technology secure.

3 Nutritious but Most Despised Vegetables

Do you hate eating vegetables?  Do you prefer to eat food made from meat, fish or fruits?

Despite, the proven fact that vegetables can be good to one's health, some people avoid eating them for various reasons. Some dislike a vegetable because of its taste while others despise it because of its appearance. Searching the internet for a list of the most hated vegetables would yield different results and diverse opinions.

Here's my own list of the 3 most hated vegetables that some people avoid and why they are the least favorite of some folks. The list is based on various surveys on the internet and only shows the most commonly mentioned  vegetables.

Brussels Sprouts

My humble research seems to indicate that brussels sprouts are the most hated vegetable. Depending on their size, age and how they are cooked, brussels sprouts can have an unpleasant taste that some people may detect. "They are bitter", according to some people but that would largely depend on how they are cooked (or overcooked) according to another group of people. There are people who actually love eating brussels sprouts.

Parsnips

The parsnip, a vegetable related to the carrot and parsley, is the second most hated vegetable in my list.  Being inexpensive,  parsnips have been  associated with the poor (and even with the pig) and have been looked down. They are usually cooked but some people eat them raw.

Some people dislike the parsnip because of its odor and sweetness. Some even say that they don't like it because of its form and shape. There are also those who find no reason to dislike it.

Eggplant

The eggplant, a very common vegetable, is the third most despised vegetable in  my list despite the fact that it is considered one of the healthiest foods in the world. Like the brussels sprouts and the parsnips, there are people who like the eggplant and those who hate it. Some find it bitter and dislike its texture.

3 Easy Steps to Remember when Buying your First RC Plane

When you buy your very first RC airplane, finding the right one for you can be difficult. You will want whatever that will be reasonably inexpensive to buy, and will give you a chance to discover how to fly RC planes before you try the more advanced (and probably more expensive) planes. If you get the first plane that you notice, you could end up having a very regretful experience for your first time, and be totally turned away from the hobby. This is why it is really crucial to know that there are various different qualities that you must look for. Don't worry, I will explain  most of them. So keep reading to find out  what you specifically need to look for to have the best experience achievable when you fly an RC airplane for the first time.

Evaluate your  building ability

First you need to evaluate your own building ability. You can buy kits that need you to build the airplane from pieces of  wood (or some other material) or you can purchase kits that just require you to put some parts together. If you wish to make a large project out of your RC plane, then you can buy one that requires full assembly. However, you should always be certain that you have the building skills to construct it. If you do not want to spend the time (or do not have the time) needed to do this, or if you do not have the craftsmanship to build or assemble it, then you can get a plane that does not need any construction at all. You just get it out of the box, and you are ready for your maiden flight.

Find a stable airplane

Second, you will need to look for something that is stable enough for people who will be flying for the very first time in their entire life. You should always keep in mind that to fly an RC plane you want at least some skill. However, if you look for the right item you can find something that is built for starters. Slow flying speed is always an advantage, just as driving slow is a good manner to study how to drive a car for the first time. You will want a lightweight plane with larger wings. This will make takeoff (and landing) a lot easier for you. You will also want to look for an airplane that has bottoms that are flat and wings that are mounted high on the body. If you can get an airplane that has all of these properties, your first flying experience will be less difficult. The HobbyZone Champ ready-to-fly RC plane  has all these features so I highly recommend it.

Consider the model of the airplane

Third, you need to think about the model of the RC plane that you are going to buy. You can get model copies of virtually any kind of plane, from the first plane to the newer military jets that we see today. If you are planning to get a model plane, it is very likely that you are already fascinated by aircraft to begin with. Consider  what plane you are most fascinated  by and check if you can find a kit that is patterned after that plane. This will give you a personal fascination in the model that you are getting. When you fly your RC airplane for the first time, it will be almost like being inside the cockpit of its full-scale counterpart.

Enjoy your new hobby

After you have decided on these matters when selecting your RC plane, the rest will just depend on your personal choice. However, if you consider these and select your plane prudently, you will find that RC flying is a great means to spend your spare time. It is a very satisfying and exciting hobby, and it can last you a lifespan if you select planes that are favorably inclined with your level of skill. You don't intend to go out on your first flight and then crash your plane into a tree or to the ground. Pick your first RC plane wisely by considering my suggestions, and you can avoid being completely frustrated in the future.
